Vector and 3D geometry

Vector and 3D is an essential part of JEE and there are usually about 3-4 questions from this topic every year in JEE Advanced .Most of the questions in vector are repeated ,thus solve archive fully and specially the subjective questions .For 3D most of the questions are cake walk if you have a good understanding of vector products and also their geometrical significance. It is strongly recommended to solve the questions of 3D by the vector method since it often proves to be the shorter method and in competitive exams, saving time is an essential factor.

This topic is relatively quite easy and scoring if you are thorough with the concepts and have an ability to visualize stuff. The problems of this topic are not too different from each other since the number of concepts in this topic is quite small. Hence it can easily be mastered by some practice.

For vector and 3D you can use Arihant book or the Cengage series .

THEORY BOOKS
  • Skills in Mathematics -Vector and 3D Geometry -(Highly Recommended)

The book has covered most of the concepts and has good geometrical problems of vectors along with good approaches. Highly recommended to solve the same .
  • G Tewani -Cengage Series (Highly Recommemded)
  •
The book contains good solved problems covering most of the concepts and has ample of problems for the student to practice .
ARCHIVE

GENERAL MATHS BOOKS
The below-mentioned books are books of maths having Vector and 3D covered in a decent manner.
  • Vikas Gupta and Pankaj Joshi is the best book for revision purposes.
  • (Highly Recommended)

This book is best for revision purpose, The most important part of JEE preparation is revision of the concepts you have already learnt. For this purpose you need a book which has around 50 good questions from each chapter and the problems should cover almost all the important concepts. Hence this book is ideal for this purpose.
  • A Das Gupta is an old Classic book. It mainly has problems from each chapter of mathematics some of which have been excluded from the current syllabus. Many of the problems are solved illustrating the ideas used to solve problems. It also contains chapter-wise tests so that you know your level of preparation in that chapter.

    1. I dont think there are solutions to them. After all they are unsolved. Just kidding. I think you should ask your teachers for the solutions of those which you weren't able to solve
